PONTE VEDRA, Florida (Ticker) - Miguel Jimenez moved within
three shots of fellow Spaniard Sergio Garcia early in Friday's
second round at $9.5 million Players Championship.
Garcia, who held the first round lead at 6-under-par 66, had the
luxury of sleeping in while the early starters tried to reel

Jimenez, out in the second group of the day off the first tee,
gathered two birdies and one bogey in six holes at the Sawgrass
TPC, improving to 3-under.
On Thursday, the morning half of the field enjoyed perfect
conditions, while the afternoon starters contended with a stiff
breeze gusting to more than 20 miles per hour.
With the tee times reversed on Friday, those who caught the
worst of the weather in the first round were hoping, if not
expecting, to enjoy similarly benign morning conditions.
It was not to be, however, as a moderate breeze sprang up very
early....
